Summer Adventures

I am not sure where to begin as I have 2 months worth of pictures to catch up with on the blog. I needed to take a blogging hiatus in order to get caught up on Macy and Cole's scrapbooks. Mission accomplished, but now I am overwhelmed with the amount of pictures I have been wanting to blog about . . . .

This summer has been the best to date, filled with lots of outdoor adventures, day trips with Mama over her summer break, and weekend family fun time.

Cole started crawling 2 days after Memorial Day, which has meant he has spent the summer covered in dirt as he insists on crawling in the muddiest patches outside. He is working hard on walking and likes to hold on to someone's hand, push a cart, or walk along furniture . . . no solo walking yet but I'm pretty sure it will be anytime now.

Cole babbles all of the time now. He says several words including "mom, baby, bike, ball, book" . . . he clearly has his "b" sound down pat! Cole has a strong sense of curiosity and always wants to explore where he shouldn't be exploring. He tends to be a little bit of a clown at times too as he tries his best to make his sister laugh.

Cole's favorite past times include going for rides on his new bike, playing catch, eating, chasing his sister, dancing, eating, riding his choo choo train, playing with blocks, and eating!!

Macy is our little lady. She loves anything and everything girly. She cannot leave the house without being fully accessorized, and insists on picking out her own wardrobe everyday.

Macy is getting ready to start attending 2 year old preschool this fall. She impresses us everyday with how much knowledge she already has . . . her babble of months past has quickly turned into complex sentences and stories. Macy loves to relay every thought that pops into her head, which results in many humorous dinnertime conversations.

Macy's current favorite activities are reading stories, coloring, stickers, play dough, playing make believe in her kitchen or with dress up clothes, riding her bike Fred Flinstone style, bubbles, chalk, roller skating, taking care of her baby dolls, shopping, and baking with mommy.
