This past weekend Ryan, Macy, Cole, and I took our first family vacation. We went to Key Lime Cove in Gurnee, Illinois, an indoor water park resort. We had such a GREAT time. Macy and Cole both liked the Lazy River the best!!! They had double tubes so Ryan would hold Cole, I would hold Macy, and we would just circle around over and over again. Macy was our tour guide and would point out all of the different color slides, decorations, and waterfalls that we passed with each loop.
Macy and Cole also liked splashing around in the kiddie pool with the mini fountains. Cole is so chill about everything that even when he would get splashed in the face with water he didn't even mind :) After Macy got warmed up to the water park, she got adventurous and wanted to go down the slides. She loved it and would wave to everyone as she went down. Cole is so funny because he liked going down the slides too but would remain totally expressionless when he would go down!!
After a fun filled day at the indoor water park we went back to the hotel room to relax . . . which turned into toddler playtime on the big bed :)
Macy thought she was the COOLEST ever when she got to drink milk from a box with a straw :)
We ate dinner at The Crazy Toucan Restaurant. Daddy and Macy colored while they waited for our food to arrive.
After dinner we stopped for some ice cream at Island Temptations. Yummy!! Macy loved the birthday cake ice cream with blue icing and sprinkles swirled in it.
Our first vacation as a family of 4 was a HUGE success. We are already looking forward to many more fun-filled trips!!!!!!!!
