Macy has been very busy in the past few weeks. Ryan and I love watching Macy smile at us! She really enjoys studying our faces and if we are lucky she will give us a BIG smile. She spends a lot more of her day alert now, so we have had the opportunity to introduce her to more toys. She still loves being in her rocking chair and playing on her Baby Einstein mat. Just recently she has begun to like tummy time a little more, but usually she doesn't want to play on her tummy any longer than about 5-10 minutes. Macy loves to wrap her fingers around anything that she can get. In the picture below she is grabbing onto the drawstring of my sweatshirt.
Any chance that we get when it is nice weather in Bloomington, we have been taking Macy on walks in her stroller. Occasionally she will peak out at us on walks, but the majority of the time she just sleeps.

Macy LOVES to take baths, but she hates getting out and being cold.

Macy took her first trip to school last week and got to meet all of my students. Well actually, it was more like my students all got to meet Macy because she slept the whole time we were there!

This past Sunday Macy went to church for the first time. We were relieved that she made it through the entire mass without any loud cries and that she kept her infamous grunting noises to a minimum. Ryan and I also took Macy to the mall on Sunday. Of course we had to take her in the store Macy's.

We introduced Macy to bottles two weeks ago. The first time Macy was a complete mess and had milk running down her face because she was drinking from it so fast. She quickly got the hang of it, though. This has allowed Ryan to do an occasional feeding at night and gave Ryan and I an opportunity to go out on a date while she stayed home with grandma babysitting.
